In this guide
Thanksgiving in Portland can mean a turkey dinner thirty floors above downtown, a hotel brunch with live jazz, or a Wednesday pie run across town so the oven stays free for the bird. This guide covers both halves of the holiday: where to book a table on Thursday, November 26, and what to order ahead from local bakeries, butchers and kitchens.
We checked every listing against the business’s own website or ordering page in early November and left out places that had only posted last year’s plans. Prices, deadlines and times appear only where the business published them.
Updated November 2026
Plan ahead
- Book your table now. Thanksgiving seatings are limited and several dining rooms below strongly recommend reservations. Screen Door holds only a few and takes walk-ins for the rest.
- Mark the order deadlines. Bakeshop closes pre-orders Sunday, Nov. 15, Orange & Blossom on Nov. 18, Screen Door on Nov. 20 and Grand Central on Nov. 22. Popular items can sell out sooner.
- Some pies are already spoken for. Lauretta Jean’s had sold out of Thanksgiving pies by early November, and Jen’s has already sold out of two specialties.
- Wednesday is pickup day. Most bakeries hand off orders on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in set windows, and lines build fast. Arrive early in your window and clear a flat spot in the car for pie boxes.
- Don’t count on Thursday pickups. Many bakeries and cafés close on Thanksgiving Day itself, including every Grand Central café.
