Lan Su's chrysanthemum festival opens with four evenings in Old Town's walled garden, lit by lanterns and lined with roughly 81 varieties of mums, including cascading waterfall displays from the horticulture team. Eighteen local floral artists and featured designer Toni Tibbits interpret this year's theme, Golden Blooms Upon Autumn Waters, and you can vote for your favorite. Guzheng music, dance from YZ Dance Academy and a floral jewelry-making table round out the night. The daytime floral showcase continues through November 15.
