The Stars We Do Not See: Australian Indigenous Art

More than 100 works by over 130 Indigenous Australian artists, drawn from the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, make their Portland stop before the show closes January 3. The range runs from ochre bark paintings to experimental weaving, photography and immersive sound and video, spanning the late 19th century to now and many of Australia's more than 250 nations. Students get in free, and admission is free for everyone on the first Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
