Pioneer Square's First Thursday has been the city's monthly gallery night for decades. Galleries, studios and a handful of other venues in the old brick blocks open their doors in the evening for new shows and openings, and the whole thing is free and self-guided. Pick up a free parking voucher at any participating gallery for the Frye Garage on 3rd Avenue S or 450 Alaskan, good from 5 to 10 p.m. Check each venue's hours before you go, then wander; some of the best spaces are up a flight of stairs.
Plans change. Please confirm dates, times and prices with the organizer before you go.
