Seattle Center's five-week holiday program is mostly free and easy to drop into. The heart of it is the Winter Train & Village in the Armory, a late-19th-century-style model railway and village that's been a tradition for 50 years; kids can take a turn running the train. Saturdays at noon, carvers shape ice sculptures at the Mural Amphitheatre, Friday nights at 6:30 bring free holiday movies in the Armory with hosted cocoa and snacks, and weekends fill the Armory Stage with choirs, bands and dancers, from the Northwest Boychoir to a TubaChristmas.
