Capitol Hill Art Walk

On the second Thursday of each month, galleries, boutiques, bars and cafes across Capitol Hill hang new work and stay open late, from about 5 to 8 p.m. It's looser and younger than the downtown walks: as likely to mean a photo show in a coffee shop or a pop-up in a vintage store as a white-walled gallery. Chophouse Row on 11th Avenue is a reliable anchor, with its restaurants open and serving during the walk. Grab the online art map first, then work your way along Pike, Pine and 12th.
