Heritage rail cars leave the Oregon Rail Heritage Center in the Central Eastside for a short holiday excursion, with Santa and his elves working the heated cars. Morning departures are daylight rides with scenery and the odd glimpse of wildlife; the later trains roll out at early dusk to show off the lights. Your ticket includes admission to the Center and its historic locomotives, and cocoa and cookies are sold on site. Trains leave on time, so arrive 20 minutes early.
