Seattle Symphony: Handel’s Messiah

19 December 2026

The Seattle Symphony's annual Messiah brings the Seattle Symphony Chorale, a quartet of vocal soloists and Benaroya Hall's Watjen Concert Organ together for Handel's oratorio, the one that sends audiences to their feet for the Hallelujah chorus. Three performances fall the weekend before Christmas: Thursday evening, Saturday evening and a Sunday matinee. Of all Seattle's December concerts, this is the most traditional, and a sentimental one for anyone who sang it in school. Benaroya is a short walk from Westlake, so it pairs easily with the downtown carousel and lights.
