After a six-year break, the downtown holiday carousel is back in Westlake Park, presented by Nordstrom. It turns daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Jan. 3, a nice reward after a round of holiday shopping on Pine Street. Rides are a suggested $4 donation that goes back into downtown parks, and if that isn't possible, just tell the attendant and hop on. Parents riding with children under 12 ride free. Look out for the giant 25-foot gnomes that pop up around downtown parks from Dec. 4.
