Oregon Ballet Theatre's Balanchine Nutcracker is Portland's big-stage holiday ballet, with Tchaikovsky's score played live by the OBT Orchestra at the Keller Auditorium. Marie's trip to the Land of Sweets runs 18 performances between December 5 and Christmas Eve, including audio-described shows on December 5, 13 and 21. Families with young kids or neurodiverse members can also catch a separate sensory-friendly Storybook Nutcracker on December 23. Pick a matinee for younger dancers-in-training; evening shows start at 7:30.
