How did you get started on your Entrepreneur Journey in Web Design?

Originally from India, I moved to the US to study Communication Design at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, Oregon. My interest in artist books also led me to pursue a Post Baccalaureate degree in Book Arts at Oregon College of Art & Craft. That’s not all!! I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics! Yep, like everyone from India I thought of majoring in Computer Science. But I knew deep in my heart that I had a creative bent of mind. So I decided to peruse Interior Design much to my parent’s dismay! That didn’t last long. I realized very quickly that the male dominated construction industry in India was no place for me. So I decided to switch to Graphic Design instead. And fell in LOVE with it!

Was this business the first business you’ve started? If not, what was your first business?

I used to have a Interior Design business in my previous life in India.

What sets your Web Design business apart from others like yours?

I’m passionate about design. Good design. Design that makes you think. Design that connects. Design that evokes an emotional response. I love to push boundaries and think outside the box. I love to create. To innovate. I love experimenting with new materials, ideas and processes, always striving to find new ways of approaching a problem, finding new solutions. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t, but I am satisfied for having tried. I accept my failures as a part of the process, learn from them and move on. But when I am done, I would have created something that’s original and fresh. Design to me is like a journey, a process, and an evolution of form and ideas. My process driven approach to design and ability to conceptualize as an artist is what sets me apart from other designers.
