DESCRIPTION:For nine nights in early February\, Portland lights up with free light art at more than 100 sites downtown\, in neighborhoods and in a few unexpected corners. Last year's festival drew more than 262\,000 people to 219 installations. The 2027 theme\, In Other Words\, centers on communication through light\, sound\, movement and the connection between strangers\, and fire art is on the bill. Dress warmly\, plan a walking route around a cluster of installations\, and expect crowds on the weekends.
