DISplace at the Wing Luke Museum

13 June 2025

Native Hawaiians have been coming to the Pacific Northwest since at least 1787, and this exhibition in the Chinatown-International District gathers that overlooked history through art by regional Native Hawaiian creatives, family stories, historic photographs and archival objects. It's co-curated by kapa-maker Lehuauakea and artist Kanani Miyamoto, both of the mixed Native Hawaiian diaspora, and the title plays on 'dis place,' this place. Catch it before it closes Jan. 4. Admission covers the museum's other galleries, including its long-running Asian Pacific American exhibits, and kids under 5 get in free.
