Seattle Forest Week Volunteer Plantings

07 November 2026

Every November, the Green Seattle Partnership kicks off planting season with a week of volunteer work parties in parks and natural areas across the city. No experience is needed and the events are family-friendly and open to all ages. EarthCorps hosts two of them: Saturday, Nov. 7, pulling ivy and blackberry from the urban forest at Mt. Baker Park, and Saturday, Nov. 14, restoring salmon-friendly shoreline along Lake Washington Boulevard South with views toward Seward Park. Both run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wear boots and layers you don't mind getting muddy.
