Executive Coach Jennifer Hope Kellum utilizes cutting-edge tools and strategies paired with concrete action. Jen brings you frameworks, ideas and leadership assessments that meet the needs of a modern leader. As an entrepreneur, investing in a business coach can be a valuable decision for your personal and professional growth. A business coach is a trained professional who helps entrepreneurs improve their business skills, develop new strategies, and reach their goals. They provide guidance and support through the challenges and successes of running a business, and can help you overcome obstacles and reach your full potential. Whether you’re just starting out or have been in business for a while, working with a business coach can be an effective way to get the support and guidance you need to succeed. They can help you create a customized plan for growth, provide valuable insights and expertise, and hold you accountable to your goals.

What services or products does your business offer from Washington?

My business offers leadership training and executive coaching for entrepreneurs, startups, and technology leaders.

How did you get started on your Entrepreneur Journey as an Executive Coach in Issaquah Washington?

I got started on my journey by being a startup leader. I led marketing teams for high-growth startups. I saw folks like me who needed a support system, who cared deeply about their careers, the companies they were building, and being great bosses. In many cases, they didn’t have the support system they needed to thrive. Since that time I’ve seen the positive impact that can happen when someone has time to reflect, be seen, and grow in a safe environment. Organizations change when leaders evolve and it’s not just the culture that changes, the business outcomes improve as well.

Was this business the first business you’ve started? If not, what was your first business?

I’ve helped to start many businesses but this is the first that I’ve started on my own.

What has been your biggest takeaway thus far on your entrepreneur journey?

Oh wow, I think the saying, “for every overnight success that you see, it was 7 years in the making.” That has never felt more true to me. It takes a while to find your stride. I was in a marketing career for almost 20 years when I left and started this business. When I did that, it was like I was a newbie in my career all over again. It took a while (longer than I hoped!) to find my confidence again and have the clarity of strengths that I have today.

How do you motivate yourself to keep going and growing, when you feel like giving up?

I love to learn so finding new tools and frameworks always helps me feel inspired. These days, I don’t ever feel like giving up. Executive coaching and having a positive impact in the workplace are things I hope to do for as long as I’m able.

When you aren’t working, what do you enjoy doing?

Being in the PNW, I love being outdoors. I love to trail run, spend time outdoors with my family – playing at the park, riding bikes, neighborhood strolls, watching sunsets – and have a fun adventurous weekend getaway. Additionally, I’m a bit of a foodie. Maybe just a food TV show foodie? That’s a thing, right?

Where would you escape to for a day trip on your day off?

Bend, OR is one of my favorite places of all time. It’s not a day trip per se, but that’s my fave place to spend a day. If staying local is a must, hiking in North Bend, WA. is a great runner-up fave.

If you had family or friends visiting, where would be the top 3 places you’d take them for food?

My top 3 places to go with family: Montalcino Ristorante Italiano in Issaquah SeaWolf Bakery, Ascend Bellevue

When friends or family visit, what is on the itinerary for sight seeing or activities?

Snoqualmie Falls and Salish Lodge A stroll at Greenlake Wings Over Washington
